DONALD TRUMP
SPEECH FOR PEACE 2020
We face an unprecedented struggle. In many ways, it can’t be separated from the rest of the struggles we face because we all have this one in common. I realized when we received the new stimulus plan from Nancy Pelosi that I am not alone in wanting to live in a different world. I want to live in a different world too and I am putting forward this vision. All of our conflicts and all of our troubles all over the world can be solved through business. I was elected as a businessman and at this moment I feel called to be faithful to that promise that I made to the American people. I want to live in a world where peace is possible.
I want to take this moment to draw a line in the sand with those who support me. I want you to know that I see you and I appreciate that you believed in me and have used your strength to keep me in my position as the leader of this great country. But now, I need to speak directly to you on a matter of the gravest importance.
I referred to this virus as the China Virus because I am holding this nation’s government accountable for their actions. I am not accusing all Chinese people of being part of a conspiracy. Do not seek retaliation against American citizens of Chinese descent. Do not let me hear any more stories about this. When I choose to use that term, I am speaking to the Chinese government, which is an enemy of many and a corrupt trade relationship that’s hurt the US for years. That’s my job to use my leverage. But it is no one’s job as a citizen of this country to openly disparage, ridicule or commit acts of violence against anyone Chinese or of Chinese descent. The Chinese people have suffered the most under a Communist system.
The racism and lack of empathy for the struggles and stories of others’ experiences as Americans that some people say I have encouraged is a problem in our society that well pre-dates me. I’ve been able to tolerate the existence of certain viewpoints because in my personal life I’ve done business and maintained friendships with many people of color, people of every race, creed, sexual orientation, you name it. Once we are in business with people, we don’t see them as ‘other’. Years of flawed policy and historical racism means that many people only encounter people they consider “different” in negative ways. When we only encounter them as a threat to our way of life, we cultivate and maintain racism and other forms of prejudice and discrimination.
As a society, we need to recognize that racism and especially the aggressive racism that motivates people to segregate, threaten, vandalize, assault, is essentially a mental health issue. It represents the inability to see a wider picture of reality and a pathological lack of empathy. This can best be solved through business and self-reflection by the racists themselves.
People say that I’ve courted and bolstered racist groups, but what I’ve actually done is approached those groups without judgment because it is actually not my place to judge. It’s not your job to judge either, Democrats. It’s my job to make sure that my constituents feel heard and I opened my ears and listened to what these groups are saying.
Now that they’ve expressed themselves, I feel completely comfortable telling them that they should search their souls and seek counseling. They should spend more time with their families and get a hobby. If you are a member of the Nazi party or the KKK or any other group that spends its time actively trying to push down other people because of their skin color or anything else, you have a disease that is polluting all of society.
In this speech today, Donald Trump is encouraging those who belong to organizations whose only purpose is to openly disparage, segregate, or actively persecute and attack people of color, should IMMEDIATELY seek counseling. I ceremoniously open a discussion of mental health and personal accountability, in our society.
Why do your fellow citizens and your qualified law enforcement need to spend their time and money worrying that you will commit acts of violence on behalf of such a disgusting view point? That view point has almost destroyed the world many times. It’s time to revisit your mental anguish that would cause you to let something like this either define you or take up a significant amount of your time. Seriously, put your energy into something else. Donald Trump is personally asking you to stop.
We have so many other things to work on right now.
I know some people will say that this doesn’t go far enough because racism is systemic. I don’t disagree with that but I don’t think it’s the job of the government to solve that. It’s the job of the government to create a free and transparent marketplace because that’s the only thing that has ever truly improved race relations.
To the entrepreneurs:
That being said, we need free market, American-based solutions to all these problems, immediately. Credit is cheap. America’s best and brightest need to get this done, in a way that is ethical and sustainable. Any transaction where one side is too extremely fucked can NEVER LAST.
To the businesses that will be bailed out by this stimulus package:
Only fair trade and transparent business allows us to create sustainable markets. Fair trade requires ethics and nothing enforces ethics like transparency. Unfortunately, true transparency will never be possible. This is an area where we can only seek to improve.
The other requirement for fair trade is moral health. Moral health as it pertains to business is the understanding that most deals where one person does significantly better than the other are unsustainable over time. Exploitation brings imbalance and disjointed growth. Trace every boom and bust. It’s all the same. Someone always screwed someone to the point that the center cannot hold.
This is what has happened to the American economy. The lower and middle classes are being squeezed by the very companies that they have made rich. They were poisoned by food companies, overcharged for utilities and prescription drugs, sold predatory financial products. Citizen to citizen. Why should the government have to spend time and money on policing this? Business needs to fix itself. We can’t double charge the American people. They can’t pay taxes to pay the government to chase down those who have already robbed them blind!
I’d like to require that every company over a certain size should have an ethics officer that meets directly with me and the Treasury Department and the Department of Homeland Security on a regular basis. I want to know that their workers live a decent life and that their customers aren’t dying or being ruined by consuming their product. Someone at that company needs to tell me to my face. And then it needs to be reviewed by our experts. Otherwise, these questions are litigated for decades at the expense of you guessed it, the American people. I am not going to police this with public funds. The American people will help me enforce this.
If you don’t appoint your officer and if your officer doesn’t have a satisfactory report for me, I will tweet to the American people and give them the option of boycotting your business. I beg the American people to back me up in this effort. And the American press to verify the facts. I want to change my relationship with the press. I will empower you to stand up to the companies that are robbing you. Together, united we will fix the issues in our economy with our collective power.
We can employ the same strategy with the power of our thinking to heal the barriers to free and transparent business in our interpersonal relationships.
I have fought for fairness in deals around the world since I’ve been in office and now I will encourage fairness and healing in our society.
The prison system must be COMPLETELY reformed. We have a population of sadistic and sick people that are empowered or forced to treat others with degradation. It’s wrong. We have too many laws, too many opportunities for innocent people to get mixed up in it and for guilty people to be overpunished. At the same time, very guilty people don’t get punished enough. It’s broken. It’s the one place I don’t believe in profit. I don’t believe in it. There should never be a reason to profit on punishment. It’s the darkest side of our human nature.
These sadistic prison guards and compassionless administrators should be treated for mental illness as soon as their behavior is encountered. Any guard who sees another guard begin to show signs of lack of compassion and respect for basic humanity must take note and take steps to ensure the behavior does not continue or escalate.
People who humiliate and torture other people in the name of justice – Donald Trump is asking you to stop.
When are we going to do better as people? All the problems in this government are the problems we’ve allowed to seep in through our own bad choices and our own exploitation of others.
I pledge to empower people of color with financial literacy. And in order to do that, I am not going to go after title loans businesses, predatory mortgage companies, rent-a-centers, and all of the other organizations built to exploit people of color. That’s way too expensive and the American people shouldn’t have to pay for that. The American people would be much better served by a generation of people of color who would know on their own not to use institutions like that and would be able to create their own wealth in America, the LAND OF OPPORTUNITY.
I would like all of the experts in financial literacy education to approach me with a comprehensive plan to cultivate a generation that cannot be manipulated or taken advantage of financially because they have great instincts and real knowledge.
Predatory lending companies, monolith utilities, any companies that depend on customers making decisions that are not financially prudent or trapping people in a pricing structure, YOU SHOULD START THINKING OF A NEW BUSINESS MODEL NOW.
For the rest of the world:
I will engage our traditional enemies throughout the world with the understanding that world war is no longer possible without mutual destruction. We are all too aware of one another and the capacity of our weapons is too great.
Wouldn’t a nuclear bomb launched anywhere in the world eventually pollute the entire world? We know that it would. We know that these weapons we have against one another are just guns pointed back at ourselves or our future generations.
There is no point. I personally don’t want to live in space. Me and all the other rich people, we’d have to go to space and it’s just not set up yet.
We know from research that the world produces enough resources for all to live at this moment in time. Look at the imbalances. Americans dying from overconsumption, destroying their bodies, creating health problems they can’t pay for while others die of poverty and starvation. We have the technology and the production capabilities to change this but we don’t work together as human beings.
We can’t change the past, but there’s nowhere to hide now. Look at what’s happening to me. I’m going to spend the next four years wasting your time protecting my business deals. I have deals in my past that I would not make as president. If you want to waste your time and money on the details of this, you are welcome to, but I will commit now to the American people that I will make you aware how I make my money from here forward.
I send a message to the business community of the United States. You are being watched. What is your relationship to your consumers? To your workers? For those making the decisions about the conditions these people work under – would you feel good if that was your kid with that job? Not all jobs are as fun as others, but if you need people to do an unpleasant job for you to make your money, the people who do that unpleasant job need to get paid a sufficient amount of money. I don’t want our government to police this with laws. It’s ridiculous. You can see your own employees. How can you look them in the face? How can you sleep?
For those who want to accuse me of hypocrisy, please save your breath. I am not a perfect person, I did not live the earlier part of my life with the knowledge that one day I would be president and everything I ever did would be reviewed and judged. But I am here now and I was elected by the American people. I am saying things that we all know to be true and necessary. Does my past change any of that?
Set your priorities, engage and love the people that make you comfortable and content, and let others live as they care to. Pay attention to what really affects your lives – the actions of our business leaders – knowing that I will be personally watching and holding these people accountable. I’m talking to you, Jeff Bezos.
I was raised to believe in the power of positive thinking. Some people think I’m too positive. But this is what I’m most positive about. We are going to become that country, the country that our forefathers dared to hope we could become.
